About AC Milan
AC Milan are one of football's true immortals. Seven European Cups. Eighteen Serie A titles. A shirt so iconic that red and black stripes are synonymous with Italian football's very pinnacle. Founded in 1899 by English expatriates, Milan grew into a colossus of world football, producing some of the greatest players ever to pull on a jersey and winning everything the game has to offer.
Founded in 1899 and based in Milan, Italy, the club play at the iconic San Siro, which they share with city rivals Inter Milan. Their honours include 7 UEFA Champions League titles, 18 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia wins, and 5 Supercoppa Italiana trophies. Nicknamed the Rossoneri (the Red and Blacks), they are one of the most decorated clubs in the history of the sport.
The red and black vertical stripes of AC Milan are among the most recognisable shirts in football. Introduced in the club's early years, the design has remained remarkably consistent with subtle changes in stripe width and manufacturer over the decades. Adidas supplied some of the most legendary Milan kits of the late 1980s and 1990s, including the shirts worn by the great Sacchi-era sides. The Lotto and Opel-sponsored kits of the 1990s have become collector's items, and more recently Puma have delivered sharp modern interpretations of those timeless stripes.
