About America

Club America are the kings of Mexican football, the most glamorous and most supported club in the country. Founded on Columbus Day in 1916 in Mexico City, Las Aguilas have lifted 13 Liga MX titles and are a fixture in CONCACAF competitions. They play at the Estadio Azteca, the largest stadium in Latin America, and their yellow and navy kits are among the most recognised in the Americas. Where Mexican football goes, Club America usually leads.

Founded in 1916, Club America are based in Mexico City and compete in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. They play their home matches at the Estadio Azteca. Major honours include 13 Liga MX championships and multiple CONCACAF Champions Cup titles. Nicknamed Las Aguilas (The Eagles), their traditional colours are yellow with navy and gold detailing. Nike are the current kit manufacturer.

The yellow shirt with navy and gold trim is the signature look of Club America, and Nike have produced some outstanding versions of this iconic design in recent decades. The classic yellow home kit, paired with navy shorts, was worn through the club's most successful eras including a remarkable run of four consecutive league titles from 1983 to 1986. More recent Nike kits have brought a sharper, modern edge to the yellow and navy combination while keeping the bold colour identity that makes Las Aguilas shirts so sought-after by collectors worldwide.
