About Antalyaspor
Antalyaspor are one of Turkish football's most recognisable clubs, a red and white striped outfit representing the sun-drenched Mediterranean city of Antalya with a passion that belies their modest trophy cabinet. Founded in 1966 from the merger of three local sides, the Scorpions have become a permanent fixture in the Suer Lig and twice won the second-tier TFF First League to earn promotion. Their Turkish Cup final appearance in 2021 showed a club still chasing the major honours their support deserves.
Founded on 2 July 1966 through the merger of Yenikapi Suspor, Ilk Isik, and Ferrokromspor, Antalyaspor compete in the Suer Lig, Turkey's top division. Their home is the modern Antalya Stadium, a 32,537-seat venue opened in 2015 with a rooftop solar array that powers the entire ground. Key honours include 2 TFF First League titles (1981-82, 1985-86) and a Turkish Cup runners-up finish in 2021.
Antalyaspor's red and white stripes are among the most vivid in the Suer Lig, drawing on the traditional colours of the city of Antalya. The crest incorporates the iconic Yivli Minare mosque, giving the shirt a genuine local identity that stands apart from the Istanbul giants. Adidas has been the kit manufacturer for recent seasons, bringing a clean, modern design to the traditional stripe pattern. The away strips have frequently explored darker tones, with navy and black combinations providing a strong contrast to the famous red and white home.
