About BATE Borisov
BATE Borisov are Belarus's most decorated club, dominating domestic football with a consistency that few sides anywhere in Europe can match. Founded in 1973 as the works team of the Borisov Automobile and Tractor Electronics plant, they were refounded in 1996 by Anatoli Kapski and quickly became the defining force in Belarusian football.
Yellow and blue are the colours of BATE, worn with unmistakable pride in Borisov. The club won 15 Belarusian Premier League titles in all, including a staggering 13 in a row from 2006 to 2018 -- a record of domestic dominance that stands among the most remarkable in post-Soviet football. Four Belarusian Cups and four Super Cups add further silverware to the cabinet.
On the European stage BATE made history in 2008 by becoming the first Belarusian club to reach the UEFA Champions League group stage, earning plaudits for competitive performances against elite opposition. Their kits have evolved through several suppliers over the decades -- adidas, Joma, Puma, and Uhlsport have all dressed the club -- but the yellow home shirt has remained a constant symbol of Belarusian footballing ambition.
