About Boca Juniors

Boca Juniors are the most passionate football club in Argentina and one of the most celebrated in the world, a La Boca institution born on the working waterfront of Buenos Aires that has produced Maradona, Tevez, Riquelme, and a trophy haul that makes them one of South America's greatest clubs. Six Copa Libertadores titles, multiple Argentine championships, and the intense heat of a Bombonera derby against River Plate have made Boca a legend of global football. The blue and gold is unmistakable. Founded in 1905, Boca Juniors play at the Estadio Alberto J. Armando (La Bombonera) in Buenos Aires and compete in the Argentine Primera Division. Key honours include six Copa Libertadores titles, three Intercontinental Cups, and 35 Argentine Primera Division championships. Known as Xeneizes (Genoese), the club is one of the most followed in South America. The blue and gold vertical stripes are Boca Juniors and they are one of football's most instantly recognisable designs. Maradona wore the blue and gold with extraordinary pride, and Riquelme defined a generation's image of the shirt. The gold sash on blue became a global symbol of Argentine footballing passion. Kappa have dressed the club through much of the modern era, producing some beautiful interpretations of the classic stripe. The away shirts in white and gold have their own following, but the home blue and gold endures as one of the most iconic looks in world football.
