About Chennaiyin

Chennaiyin FC are one of the Indian Super League's most decorated clubs, founded in 2014 as a franchise representing Chennai, the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. Co-owned by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan and cricket icon MS Dhoni, Chennaiyin have won the ISL title twice, in 2015 and 2017-18, cementing their status as one of the league's dominant forces. Their club emblem, the Dhrishti Bommai, is drawn from Tamil cultural tradition and gives Chennaiyin one of the most distinctive and culturally rooted identities in Asian club football.

Chennaiyin FC were founded in 2014 and play at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, known as Marina Arena. They compete in the Indian Super League and have won the ISL championship in 2015 and 2017-18. The club is co-owned by Abhishek Bachchan and MS Dhoni.

Blue has been Chennaiyin FC's colour from day one, a consistent identity across all their kit iterations since the ISL's inaugural 2014 season. Their earliest shirts established the blue palette that fans have proudly worn across two title-winning campaigns. The ISL championship kits of 2015 and 2018 are the most cherished in the club's short but already storied history. The Dhrishti Bommai crest, the traditional decorative South Indian eye worn on the chest, makes the Chennaiyin shirt one of the most culturally meaningful in the entire Asian game.
