About Club Olimpia
Club Olimpia are the most successful club in Paraguayan football and one of South America's oldest and most celebrated institutions. Founded in 1902 in Asuncion, they were the first Paraguayan club to win the Copa Libertadores, doing so in 1979, and have since added further continental glory to their record of domestic dominance. Their black and white stripes are instantly recognisable across the continent and carry the weight of over a century of footballing tradition.
Founded in 1902, Olimpia are based in Asuncion and play at the Estadio Manuel Ferreira. Known as El Decano (The Dean) in recognition of their status as Paraguay's oldest football club, they have won the Paraguayan Primera Division more times than any other club and the Copa Libertadores in 1979.
Black and white stripes have been the hallmark of Club Olimpia since their earliest days, making them one of the most visually powerful clubs in South American football. Their kits have been produced by various manufacturers across their long history, but the striped design has remained constant through every era. The shirts worn during Copa Libertadores campaigns carry particular significance, representing the moments when Paraguayan football stood among the best on the continent.
