About Columbus Crew

Columbus Crew are one of MLS's founding clubs and three-time champions, a side that has written some of the league's most extraordinary stories from their base in Ohio. Three MLS Cup titles (2008, 2020, and 2023) tell only part of a story that also includes surviving a relocation threat in 2017 that galvanised the entire supporter community and became a landmark moment in American football fan activism. The yellow and black of the Crew is one of American football's most vivid identities. Founded in 1994, Columbus Crew play at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field and compete in MLS Eastern Conference. Key honours include three MLS Cup titles (2008, 2020, 2023) and three Supporters' Shields. Known as the Crew, the club wears yellow and black as their signature colours and is one of the most successful clubs in MLS history. Yellow and black is Columbus Crew and the combination has produced some of MLS's most vibrant kits. The yellow home shirts, nicknamed the 'banana kit' by fans in early iterations, became a beloved visual identity. The 2008 MLS Cup winning shirt is the historic benchmark, worn as the Crew claimed their first title. The 2020 and 2023 championship shirts add to a significant collection. The black and gold away kits provide a sleek contrast to the bright yellow home.
