About Kjøbenhavns Boldklub

Founded in 1876, Kjobenhavns Boldklub is the oldest football club in continental Europe and one of the most storied names in Danish football history. Based in Copenhagen, KB won 15 Danish championship titles and helped shape the early development of the sport in Scandinavia. Their white and blue colours became synonymous with Danish football excellence across more than a century of competition. Founded in 1876, KB play their home matches at Gladsaxe Idraetspark. They compete in the Danish lower divisions following the merger of their professional section with Boldklubben 1893 to form FC Copenhagen in 1991. Honours include 15 Danish championship titles and 7 Danish Cup wins. Known by the nickname KB. KB's traditional white and blue kits have been a constant across more than 140 years of football. Their early 20th century championship shirts, worn during a dominant era when KB claimed multiple titles in quick succession, remain iconic among Danish football historians. After the formation of FC Copenhagen in 1991 absorbed KB's professional ambitions, the club continued in amateur football in their original colours, preserving a living link to the very origins of Danish football.
