About Malmo
Malmo FF are Sweden's most successful football club and one of Scandinavia's genuine European heavyweights. Founded in 1910, they have won the Swedish championship more times than any other club and in 1979 reached the European Cup final, losing to Nottingham Forest in Munich in a match that cemented their status as one of the great clubs of northern Europe. In the modern era they have been consistent Champions League group stage participants, flying the flag for Swedish club football at the highest level.
Founded in 1910 and based in Malmo in southern Sweden, MFF play at Eleda Stadion and have won over 20 Allsvenskan titles, the most in Swedish football history. They are known as Himmelsbla, the Sky Blues, and remain the dominant force in Swedish football.
Sky blue and white are the colours of Malmo FF, and the home shirt has been one of Scandinavia's great constants for over a century. Adidas have been a long-standing kit partner, producing the sky blue shirts that define the club. The kit worn in the 1979 European Cup final at the Olympiastadion in Munich remains the most storied in the club's history, a shirt that captures the moment when a Swedish club from the south of the country stood within touching distance of the greatest prize in club football.
