Millwall

Millwall are South London's most defiant football club, a side built on the pride of their community and a never-say-die spirit that runs through everything they do. Founded in 1885 on the Isle of Dogs, The Lions have spent most of their existence in the lower reaches of English football's pyramid but punch well above their weight, producing countless memorable moments including an FA Cup final appearance in 2004.

Founded in 1885 and based in New Cross, southeast London, the club have played at The Den since 1993. Their honours include five Football League titles at various levels, and they reached the FA Cup final in 2004, losing 3-0 to Manchester United. Nicknamed The Lions, Millwall compete in the Championship, the second tier of English football.

The classic Millwall home kit is dark blue with white shorts, a combination that has served the club for most of their history and gives The Lions a distinct identity in the capital. The dark blue is quite different from the royal or sky blue worn by other London clubs, and that shade is part of what makes a Millwall shirt instantly recognisable. The kit worn during the remarkable 2004 FA Cup run, when Millwall became one of the very few second-division sides to reach a modern final, holds an especially cherished place in the hearts of Lions supporters.
