About Monterrey
Club de Futbol Monterrey, known as Los Rayados (The Striped Ones), are one of Mexican football's great institutions, a club from the industrial capital of Nuevo Leon that has consistently been among the most successful sides in Liga MX and CONCACAF. Multiple Mexican league titles and CONCACAF Champions League wins have cemented their status as a powerhouse of North American football, and their blue and white striped shirt is one of the most recognisable in the region.
Founded in 1945 and based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the club play at the Estadio BBVA. Their honours include multiple Liga MX titles and several CONCACAF Champions League trophies. Nicknamed Los Rayados for their distinctive blue and white striped home kit, which earned the club their enduring identity.
The navy blue and white vertical stripes that give Los Rayados their nickname are a constant across eras. That bold striped shirt, worn at the enormous Estadio BBVA, has become a symbol of northern Mexican football pride. Reebok supplied the kits for much of the club's successful period in the 2000s and 2010s before adidas took over. The blue and white combination has also produced some striking red away variants over the years, providing a sharp contrast to the instantly recognisable home look.
