About Padova
Calcio Padova are one of northern Italy's oldest football clubs, founded in January 1910 in the historic Veneto city of Padua. The Biancoscudati, nicknamed for the white and red cross of the city's coat of arms, have appeared in Serie A across multiple eras and boast a proud footballing heritage stretching back over 115 years. Their finest league moment came in the 1957-58 season when they finished third in Serie A, competing with Italy's elite. After years in the lower leagues, Padova have re-established themselves in Serie B, backed by one of Italian football's most passionate provincial fanbases.
Calcio Padova were founded in 1910 and play at Stadio Euganeo in Padova. They compete in Serie B and are historically associated with Serie A appearances across several decades. Their best Serie A finish was third place in 1957-58. The club is nicknamed I Biancoscudati, the White-Shields.
Padova's white and red colour combination has been their defining identity since the club's founding, reflecting the heraldic shield of the city of Padua itself. The Biancoscudati name says it all: the white-shielded ones, carrying their city's colours with pride on every shirt. Their late 1990s Serie A kits are particularly sought-after among Italian shirt collectors, and the club's 115th anniversary in 2025 was marked with a heritage release that paid tribute to a remarkable journey through more than a century of Italian football.
