About Palmeiras
Palmeiras are Brazilian football's most decorated club, a Sao Paulo giant with more national championships than any club in Brazil and a history that stretches from Italian immigrant roots to the Allianz Parque era of the 2020s. Two Copa Libertadores titles in consecutive years (2020 and 2021) and a decade of near-constant trophy contention have made Palmeiras the dominant force of the modern Brazilian game. The Verdao (Big Green) wears their colour with absolute conviction and the fanbase behind them is vast. Founded in 1914, Palmeiras play at the Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo and compete in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A. Key honours include two Copa Libertadores titles (2020, 2021) and ten Brazilian championship titles. Known as Verdao (Big Green), the club is Brazil's most domestically successful and one of South America's most supported sides. Green is Palmeiras and it has been worn with pride and ambition since the club adopted the colour as their footballing identity. The 2020 and 2021 Copa Libertadores winning shirts are the standout pieces of the modern era, worn as Palmeiras became back-to-back continental champions under Abel Ferreira. Puma has dressed the club through much of the recent trophy era, producing excellent interpretations of the green home shirt. The white away kits with green trim provide a clean contrast to a home shirt that has become one of South America's most iconic.
