About PAOK
PAOK FC are the pride of Thessaloniki and one of Greek football's most passionate and uncompromising clubs. Based in Macedonia's capital city rather than Athens, PAOK have always carried the identity of the north, a fierce alternative to the Athenian dominance of Olympiakos and Panathinaikos. Their black and white colours are worn with fierce pride at the Toumba Stadium, one of the most intimidating grounds in European football.
Founded in 1926 and based in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, the club play at the Toumba Stadium. Their honours include 3 Greek Super League titles, 8 Greek Cup wins, and a UEFA Cup semi-final appearance in 1978. Nicknamed the Double-Headed Eagle after the emblem on their badge.
The black and white home shirt is PAOK's most recognisable statement, a bold combination that mirrors the club's uncompromising identity. The kits from the 1977-78 UEFA Cup run, when PAOK became the first Greek club to reach a European semi-final, hold a legendary place in the club's history. Modern manufacturers including Kappa and others have kept the black and white tradition alive, and the distinctive eagle badge on the chest gives every PAOK shirt an extra gravitas that collectors of Greek football value highly.
