About Partizan Belgrade

FK Partizan Belgrade are one of the founding giants of Serbian and Yugoslav football, a club whose black and white stripes have been feared across Europe for decades. Based in the Serbian capital, Partizan have been the most consistent domestic force in post-Yugoslav football and hold the distinction of being the first Eastern European club to reach a European Cup final, when they lost to Real Madrid in Brussels in 1966.

Founded in 1946 and based in Belgrade, Serbia, the club play at the Partizan Stadium. Their honours include over 30 Yugoslav First League and Serbian SuperLiga titles, 17 Yugoslav and Serbian Cup wins, and a European Cup final appearance in 1966. Nicknamed the Black and Whites.

The black and white vertical stripes are Partizan's permanent identity, a combination that has remained consistent across generations of great players and dramatic European nights. The classic black and white shirts from the club's Yugoslav First League dominance in the 1960s and 1970s are cherished by Eastern European football historians. More recent eras under manufacturers including Hummel have kept the tradition intact, and the black and white combination worn in Champions League campaigns of the 2000s gives collectors of Balkan football shirts a compelling range of pieces to seek out.
