About Pisa
Pisa Sporting Club are one of Tuscany's most historic football clubs, founded in 1909 in the city of the Leaning Tower. The Nerazzurri, playing in black and blue, have a rich footballing history that includes multiple Serie A stints, two Mitropa Cup victories in 1986 and 1988, and a fiercely passionate local fanbase. After a long period in the lower divisions, Pisa made a historic return to Serie A for the 2025-26 season, ending a 34-year absence from Italy's top flight and completing one of Italian football's most long-awaited homecomings.
Pisa Sporting Club were founded in 1909 and play at Arena Garibaldi in Pisa. They compete in Serie A, having returned to Italy's top division in 2025. The club's greatest honours include the Mitropa Cup in 1986 and 1988. Their nickname is the Nerazzurri, Black and Blues.
Pisa's black and blue colours were adopted in the very early years of the club, setting them on the same Nerazzurri path as Inter Milan. The Arena Garibaldi, their compact and atmospheric home in central Pisa, has been one of Italian football's most characterful grounds for over a century. The kits of Pisa's 1980s and 1990s Serie A era are among the most collectible in Italian football, and their Adidas-made shirts for the 2025-26 Serie A return have brought fresh new energy to a fanbase that never stopped believing in their club's right to be at the top.
