About Qatar SC

Qatar SC are one of the oldest and most decorated football clubs in the Gulf region, a Doha institution that helped shape the foundations of Qatari football since their establishment in 1961. Playing in bold yellow and black, Qatar SC dominated the early years of the Qatar football league with a remarkable five-year run of consecutive title wins from 1966 to 1971 and have since added further honours to become one of the most successful clubs in the country's football history. As Qatar established itself as a major force in world football ahead of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar SC remained an important part of the domestic game. Founded in 1961, Qatar SC play at the Suheim bin Hamad Stadium in the Al Dafna district of Doha, Qatar. They compete in the Qatar Stars League. Key honours include 8 Qatar League titles (including 5 consecutive from 1966-67 to 1970-71), 2 Emir Cup wins, and 3 Qatar League Cup titles. They wear yellow and black. Qatar SC's yellow and black kits are among the most recognisable in Gulf football, a bold combination that has been worn through six decades of Qatari football history. The shirts from the dominant era of the late 1960s and early 1970s, when Qatar SC won five consecutive league titles in a period that defined the club's identity, are the cornerstone of their kit history. As Qatari football grew in prominence and professionalism in the years leading to the 2022 World Cup, Qatar SC's yellow and black strips were modernised while retaining the proud identity that connects the club to its pioneering role in the country's football history.
