About Rennes

Stade Rennais FC are the footballing pride of Brittany, a club from western France whose red and black home shirt has been a fixture in Ligue 1 for decades. Founded in 1901, Rennes have spent much of their history as a solid top-flight presence, but their passionate fanbase and two Coupe de France trophies give them a proud history. In recent years, ambitious investment has seen Rennes emerge as genuine European contenders competing in the UEFA Champions League.

Founded in 1901 and based in Rennes, Brittany, France, the club play at Roazhon Park. Their honours include 2 Coupe de France wins (1965, 1971). Nicknamed Les Rouges et Noirs (The Red and Blacks), they compete in Ligue 1, the top division of French football.

The red and black home shirt is Rennes through and through, a bold combination that has been the club's visual identity for most of their history. The red and black colours in stripes and hoops of various configurations have produced some attractive kits over the years, with Kappa and Puma among the manufacturers who have supplied the club at different periods. The modern era has brought fresh commercial partnerships and increasingly polished kit designs, but the red and black identity remains deeply tied to the Breton pride of the club and its city.
