About Rosario Central

Club Atletico Rosario Central are one of Argentine football's original giants, a proud club from the city of Rosario in Santa Fe province whose navy blue and gold home shirt has been a fixture in Argentine top-flight football for well over a century. As fierce local rivals of Newell's Old Boys in the Clasico Rosarino, Central have built one of Argentina's most passionate fanbases and a history that includes multiple Argentine titles and an enduring legacy as one of the country's most storied clubs.

Founded in 1889 and based in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina, the club play at the Estadio Gigante de Arroyito. Their honours include multiple Argentine Primera Division titles across the Metropolitano, Nacional, and Clausura competitions. Nicknamed El Canalla (The Scoundrel) and Los Auriazules for their blue and gold colours.

The navy blue and gold combination is Rosario Central's most enduring look. The gold diagonal band across the navy blue shirt in certain eras, or the simple navy with gold trim, gives Central a distinct identity among Argentine clubs. The kits worn during the club's most successful title-winning campaigns in the 1970s and 1980s hold a special place for collectors of South American football shirts. Kappa and other manufacturers have maintained the blue and gold tradition that has defined the club's visual identity since its earliest days in Argentine football.
