About Sabail

Sabail FK are one of Azerbaijan's younger clubs but one rooted in a deeply historic identity, taking their name from the Sabail district of Baku, home to the 13th-century Sabail Castle, a submerged sea fortress on the Caspian. Founded in 2016, The Sailors carry the maritime heritage of Baku's coastal district into Azerbaijani football with a clarity of purpose that many older clubs would envy, playing in navy blue and white that evoke the Caspian Sea itself.

Founded on 15 August 2016 in the Sabail district of Baku, the club compete in the Azerbaijan First League. Their nickname, Denizcilar (The Sailors), reflects the coastal and naval legacy of the historic Sabail raion. Navy blue and white are the club's established colours since their founding.

Navy blue and white have defined Sabail FK's look from their very first kit. Nike supplied the club from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2022, with Macron bridging the gap and Adidas supplying from 2023. The straightforward nautical design language of each Sabail kit reflects a club whose identity is rooted in geography and history rather than commercial ambition, making their strips a clean and purposeful addition to the Azerbaijani football wardrobe.
