About Seattle Sounders

Seattle Sounders FC are the standard-bearers of football in the Pacific Northwest and one of MLS's great success stories, a club that entered the league in 2009 and immediately set new benchmarks for supporter culture, attendances, and silverware. Two MLS Cup titles and a CONCACAF Champions League crown have been collected by a fanbase that consistently fills Lumen Field with noise and colour. The green and blue of Seattle is one of American football's most striking visual combinations, and the Sounders have genuinely moved the needle for the game in the United States. Founded in 2009 as an MLS expansion team, Seattle Sounders FC play at Lumen Field and compete in the MLS Western Conference. Key honours include two MLS Cup titles and the CONCACAF Champions League. Known as the Rave Green, the club has consistently been among MLS's best-supported and most successful sides since their inception. Rave green is the Sounders' signature and it makes them unmistakable in any competition. The modern green and blue home shirts with clean lines have been among MLS's most consistently well-designed kits. The 2024-25 Anniversary Kit, celebrating 50 years of Sounders football with pinstripes inspired by the 1983 NASL season, was named among ESPN's 25 best kits of the 21st century. The Orca Kit with its retro wordmark and vibrant sleeve design has also earned a place in American football shirt collections.
