About Werder Bremen
Werder Bremen are one of German football's most loved clubs, a side from the Hanseatic city on the Weser with four Bundesliga titles and a cabinet full of DFB-Pokal wins. The green and white vertical stripes of the Weserstadion have been one of Bundesliga football's great visual constants, and the club produced some of their finest football in the late 1980s and early 2000s. European glory in the 1992 UEFA Cup Winners Cup completed their continental credentials and cemented Werder's place among Germany's truly elite clubs. Founded in 1899, Werder Bremen play at the Weserstadion and compete in the Bundesliga. Key honours include four Bundesliga titles (1965, 1988, 1993, 2004), six DFB-Pokal wins, and the 1992 UEFA Cup Winners Cup. Known as Die Grun-Weissen (The Green-Whites), the club is one of Germany's most consistently respected football institutions. Green and white vertical stripes are Werder Bremen and they are worn with immense pride. The early 1990s Cup Winners Cup era kits are genuine collector's items with vivid patterns and bold Umbro designs. The 2003-04 double-winning season shirts are cherished by a generation of Werder fans. Nike's more recent partnership produced clean interpretations of the classic stripe, and the darker forest green alternate kits have created some particularly memorable designs over the years.
