About Zrinjski Mostar
HSK Zrinjski Mostar are the oldest football club in Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 1905 and carrying nine BiH championship titles as the most powerful symbol of Mostar's Croatian football heritage. Named after the noble Zrinski family, the club reflects the history and culture of the city of Mostar with fierce pride. A remarkable footnote in the club's story is the 2003-04 loan of a teenage Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb, giving the future Ballon d'Or winner his first taste of senior professional football in Mostar. Founded in 1905, HSK Zrinjski Mostar play at the Stadion HSK Zrinjski and compete in the Premier League BiH. Key honours include nine BiH championship titles and three BiH Cup wins. Known as the Nobles, the club wears white and red referencing Croatian national colours and is the most decorated club in Mostar and one of the most successful in Bosnian football. White and red are Zrinjski Mostar's colours and they carry deep cultural significance beyond football, reflecting the Croatian identity of the club and the city's Croat community. The white home shirts with their red sash design are distinctive in Bosnian football. The 2003-04 kits worn by the teenage Luka Modric on loan from Dinamo Zagreb are the most sought-after pieces in the club's wardrobe, priceless to those who witnessed him develop in Mostar before he conquered the world.
