About Roma

AS Roma are the passion of the Eternal City, a club from the ancient heart of Rome whose giallorossi (yellow and red) colours have been synonymous with Italian football's most fierce and devoted supporter culture for nearly a century. Multiple Serie A titles, a European Cup final appearance in 1984, and the fervent love of the Curva Sud have given Roma a unique place in Italian football, even if the silverware has at times seemed destined for elsewhere.

Founded in 1927 and based in Rome, Italy, the club play at the Stadio Olimpico. Their honours include 3 Serie A titles, 9 Coppa Italia wins, a European Cup final appearance in 1984, and a UEFA Conference League title in 2022. Nicknamed I Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) and I Lupi (The Wolves).

The deep burgundy red and yellow combination is Roma's eternal identity. The home shirt has traditionally been a rich deep red with yellow trim, and those colours burn with an intensity that matches Roma's supporter culture. The Kappa kits of the 1990s and 2000s, worn by legends such as Francesco Totti and Gabriel Batistuta, are among the most treasured in Italian football. More recently Nike have taken over, and the 2001-02 Scudetto-winning season shirt, with Totti at his imperious best, remains the pinnacle of what wearing that Roma shirt means.
